PSI - First Outing
Two weeks ago I took a small step, which has opened a whole new world to me. I joined “The Photographic Society of India” (PSI). They organize lectures for their members on every Friday. I attended one such lecture by Mr. Yuwraj Gurjar, who is a naturist. He shared his experiments with Micro and wildlife photography One photography outing is organized every month. There are contests for Photographers, where experts discus about the contestant’s photos and tell them what is right are what is wrong. Here I came in contact with so many photography enthusiasts from all walks of life, from all age groups and social background. It was nice to be amongst my kind.
I went for the outing organised by PSI on May 17th, 2008, to Mandwa Port. Even though, I did visit Mandwa few days ago, I was keen to go there again for two reasons. First and foremost is the company of expert and professional photographers I would be enjoying. There is so much to be learnt on the field.
I attach few of the pictures taken in the Outing. I tried to take some wide angle shots this time as suggested by Sachin. As we reached Mandwa Port at 8.30am, the light was already harsh. I tried to take shots mostly with smaller aperture and higher Shutter speed.
Tell me do you think I am improving as a photographer?
